I collect impressions wherever I go. Sometimes it’s a texture, sometimes a fleeting combination of colors, sometimes the way someone wears something entirely on her own terms. Certain details stay with me long after I’ve left a place. Those discoveries weave their way into CARAUCCI.

My creative beginnings were in jewelry and vintage textiles in 1999. A small detail could set an entire idea in motion. In 2010, I brought that curiosity into clothing and launched CARAUCCI. Clothing opened up another dimension: fabric against skin, layers playing off one another, a silhouette changing with a simple gesture. Something imagined becomes something lived in.

I have a weakness for pieces that refuse to be just one thing. A skirt becomes a dress. A wrap takes another shape. Add a layer, shift the balance, see what happens. The practical side of me wants fewer pieces in my suitcase. The creative side wants options. CARAUCCI gives both something to work with.

My canvas extends beyond clothing—to the photographs I shoot and the interplay of imagery, typography, and color that I use to shape the world of CARAUCCI. A photograph sets a mood. A crop changes the emphasis. Type and color give the story its rhythm. From designing the collection to composing the page, I follow the idea through.

The women I photograph are real people, each with her own presence and way of wearing the clothes. I look for their natural essence: an unguarded smile, a familiar gesture, that moment when posing gives way to simply being. The clothes are part of the picture; so is the woman’s own story. That’s what gives an image life.

Bali is where ideas become pieces you can hold and wear. My longstanding partnership with a female-owned, family-run workshop has grown through years of creating together. Each collection continues that conversation—from the first sample to the details we refine along the way. Returning also means reconnecting with the community, raising awareness of local environmental concerns, and supporting opportunities that empower local girls and women. The relationships extend well beyond the clothes.

Photography and travel are my passions. Vibrant cultures feed my curiosity. Nature offers patterns I could never have planned. The women in front of my lens bring interpretations I might never have imagined.
